Our theme for 2025 explores the rapidly changing field of technological advances in food safety, but also never forgetting some of the basics. Artificial Intelligence is top of the list and includes not only what AI can do for us but cautionary aspects as well. South Africa experienced several tragic child deaths in 2024 due to illegal pesticides in some townships. We cannot forget that and Anelich Consulting has embarked on a critical partnership on seeking solutions for these and other problems related to food safety in townships where millions of people live, purchase and consume food locally.
